Enough

Enough, you are already enough. Congratulations, you’ve done it!

This one kind of blew my mind. I have always been a striver, or what we used to call an “A” type personality. Always thinking of what I needed to do.

This applied to work, of course, and since I never had a “successful” career, I was always pretty upset about that. Why was I such a failure?

And when it came to Church or my relationship with GOD, I was not much better. I was always trying to come up with things to do for GOD. A new ministry or message or outreach. The thing is, I was the one coming up with ideas and asking GOD to bless them. I was putting the cart before the horse. I needed to learn to put GOD first and anything that flows from that relationship is what I should be “doing.”

I don’t need to strive. GOD has taken care of everything. I can relax and enjoy, which is why I was created. Can ministry, a message or an outreach be a part of that? Sure, but GOD comes first.

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
— 2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)
