Personal — GOD is the source of personality. He made yours on purpose.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
If GOD feels distant, it may help to remember that He was never distant from how you were made. Psalm 139 traces His attention back before your first memory, before anyone had an opinion about you, to a hidden place where He was already at work with care. Your temperament, your humor, your sensitivities, even the parts of you that feel like too much or not enough, are not accidents He tolerates. They are material He chose. You do not have to become someone else to be loved by GOD. You only have to receive the person He made, and let Him keep shaping what He started.
