Stuck in the Present
Stuck in the present, when you can’t see the future. GOD can. He has plans.
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
Shepherd’s Note
Being stuck can feel like being forgotten, but Jeremiah 29 was written to people who felt exactly that, exiles far from home who wondered if GOD had moved on without them. He had not. The future GOD sees is not threatened by the season you cannot see past. Your job in a stuck place is not to manufacture a way out or to pretend the waiting does not hurt. It is to trust that the One who sees the whole road is walking the part you are on, and that your present is a chapter, not the whole story.
