Freedom

Life in Christ is freedom, not rules. You can do anything. Other belief systems are very restrictive. This faith sets you free.

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
— Galatians 5:1 (NIV)

Shepherd’s Note

Paul writes Galatians to people tempted to trade a gift for a rule book, and his word is urgent: it was for freedom that Christ set you free, so stand firm and do not go back. Christian freedom is not a smaller, tighter life. It is release from slavery, from earning, performing, and fearing that one mistake puts you outside. But it is not freedom to drift back into anything that once chained you. It is the wide, glad liberty of belonging to Christ, guarded with gratitude.
