Temptation
Temptation is meant to turn against you, cause you to lose everything, and ultimately kill you. It is not sent by GOD to strengthen your faith.
“When tempted, no one should say, ‘GOD is tempting me.’ For GOD cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone.”

James is careful with our theology because a wrong idea about GOD can do real damage in a weak moment. GOD cannot be tempted by evil, and He tempts no one. Temptation is a lure, and its hook is set by desire, not by your Father. He does not dangle ruin in front of His children and call it training. When the pull comes, name its source honestly, and remember whose voice is not behind it. GOD's hand in that moment is not pushing you down. It is reaching to pull you out.
