Teleo
Teleo — it is finished.
“When he had received the drink, Jesus said, ‘It is finished.’ With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
John 19 records one word from the cross that accountants in the ancient world would have recognized on a receipt: paid in full. That is what "it is finished" means. Jesus was not announcing that He was finished, worn out and giving up. He was announcing that the debt was finished, settled in a way that leaves nothing outstanding. Weary people carry ledgers, lists of failures they keep meaning to pay off with better behavior. Teleo says the ledger is closed. You do not work toward GOD's approval from a balance due. You live today from a receipt that already reads paid.
