Paul ties a rich indwelling of the word to a life that overflows. When the message of Christ lives in a man richly rather than thinly, it teaches, it corrects, and it sings. What fills a person comes out of him, in wisdom shared with others and in gratitude sung back to GOD. This entry names the fruit before it names the root: peace, wisdom, beauty are what fill the man who is filled with the Word. The filling is not an achievement to strain for but a dwelling to allow, letting the word move in and take up residence.
