Yoke
My yoke is easy and my burden is light — I don’t have to strive or get serious all the time. Enjoy.
“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Matthew 11 is spoken to tired people, and Jesus does not offer them a lighter religion of trying harder. A yoke joins two together to pull a load, and His point is the company as much as the weight. Learn from Me, He says, for I am gentle and humble in heart. Life under a gentle Master feels different from life under every demanding voice you carry inside. You do not have to strive, or get serious, or prove you belong. Take His yoke, walk at His pace, and let rest reach your soul, not just your schedule.
